Who We Are
A Different Kind of Builder.
UNIKA began with Amy and Ken’s own search for a home in Canada. Starting over in a new country changed what “home” meant to them. It was no longer simply a place to live, but a sense of comfort, security, belonging and a foundation for the life ahead. In searching for their ideal home, they began to see a gap in the way homes were designed and built. Beautiful finishes did not always translate into better living, while architecture, construction, windows, technology, security and other systems were often planned separately.
They believed a truly exceptional home should bring all of these elements together. A truly exceptional home is not defined by what is added to it, but by how design, engineering and everyday life come together.
That belief became UNIKA — a company built around one integrated vision, from the first drawing to the way a home is experienced every day.
